| Abstract: | This article explores the growing influence of female leadership in Indian politics by assessing the impact of female Chief Ministers (CMs) and Deputy Chief Ministers (Dy. CMs) across various states. It analyses the policy priorities, governance styles, and socio-economic transformations initiated under their leadership. The study highlights how women in high-ranking political positions emphasize social welfare, education, and healthcare reforms while promoting inclusive governance. Through an evaluation of both qualitative and quantitative outcomes, the article underscores the positive effects of women’s leadership on grassroots democracy, gender-sensitive policymaking, and increased political participation of marginalized communities. Furthermore, it discusses the challenges these leaders face, including gender bias, patriarchal constraints, and institutional hurdles. The article concludes by advocating for increased representation of women in political leadership roles to promote sustainable development and equitable governance in India. |
