| Abstract: | This study evaluates the operational and social effectiveness of Co-operative Consumer Stores. While these systems were created to protect consumers from high prices and middleman exploitation, they now face challenges in digital adoption and supply chain speed. Using a mixed-methods approach, this research finds that co-ops remain highly effective in Price Stability and Product Trust, but require urgent Digital Integration to remain competitive against private e-commerce giants. |
