| Abstract: | The Bodoland Territorial Region Accord 2020 (BTR Accord) is signed on 27th January, 2020 to solve the Bodo’s demand for political autonomy. The Bodo an ethnic group widely spread in the Assam province of India. The political negotiation was long awaited. The educated middle class among Bodos once felt the need for an organisation for the assertion of Bodo identity which, in course of time, culminated in the formation of different organisation. The major signatories of the BTR Accord are four factions of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) along with the All-Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and the United Bodo People’s Organisation (UBPO) a civil society. In view of above this work intent to study some research questions – (i) Whether BTR agreement is a permanent solution for the Bodo terrorism? (ii) Whether BTR agreement can put impact on Bodo electoral politics? (iii) Whether BTR agreement will fulfil the aspirations of Bodo leaders or Bodo people? |
